What's going on with the police is an outrage! Especially considering the increased danger they are under. Perhaps they could use the money they take off me and millions of others who occasionally put their foot down and run through a speed camera!! This sort of argument always brings me back to the armed forces though... as we speak there are 17/18 year olds in Afghanistan, under fire, doing a bloody good job (whether you agree with the war or not, for their profession they do a bloody good job) and they are on what £12-£14k per annum!?? They have to take out private life insurance because the government will not provide adequately for their families if they die and the unfortunate troops that come home without limbs; what do they have to look forward too?? Being put in some dirty NHS hospital and being told that they cannot wear their uniforms off base incase it upsets the public!!!??? Personally I hate Unions and would not usually advocate a strike but if the Police did strike then on this occasion they would have my full support!! It would also teach those incompetent idiots in power to play fair!
