Yes, I noticed that - despite his faults as a council leader at least he has the decency to represent people properly (and therefore decide to step down). As a resident of Chorlton Park I don't want an absentee councillor that can't offer me the same committment as he previously did. John was an excellent councillor, but I don't think many people would disagree with the fact that he can't be as dedicated as he was while being MP. On a sad note, I've just got back from the cricket - it's sold out.
