Sorry Peter H, John Leech didnt win because he is a hard working councillor, he won because he lied about the supposed Christie Hospital petition, (I understand that a petition is only described as a petition if you hand it to someone, which they did not).
To be honest (which John Lecch is not) if you go back to the election when he was first elected councillor in the old ward of Barlow Moor, (which I remember, do you?) he lied about the local Community Centre then, which got him in. What a track record, lie to be elected councillor, lie to be elected MP.
I know that he lied because he admitted it to me IN PERSON. I was not at the time a member of the Labour Party, but when this happened I joined up, becasue if there is anything that I hate it is a liar who tries to put everyone else in the doo-doo.
