Bike lanes are a good idea, I do alot of cycling, however I have to say that the bike lanes that are being introduced around the country are more of a death trap than anything else. i.e far too narrow and they seem to run for a couple of miles and then suddenly stop? As much as I enjoy cycling however I don't like the idea of cycling to work in the morning with a suit, in the pouring rain, it isn't really that practical. Certainly not my idea of a good start to the working day?
