"why should those who choose not to go to university pay for those who do" Graduates earn an average of 150,000 more over their life time than non-graduates. Most of this will be taxed in the top band. Why should I have to fund the non-graduates' NHS, public transport and other state supported subsidies when I paid for myself to go through University? Every non-graduate will be far better off as a result.
